Went with a few co-workers to New China Red and ordered off their lunch special menu. They do have a buffet option if you would like to hand pick your lunch.

I ordered Sweet and Sour chicken with Wonton soup and pork fried rice. The quality is what you pay for and it is one of the cheapest options around the area. Personally, I think it's a bit too salty but it does do it job to fulfill your hunger. But, I would highly recommend this place if you're hungover. The oil and salt combination would definitely help. But if you're sober and not that hungry, I would try somewhere else. If you're really hungry, I would recommend to order off their lunch special.

Terrible food and service, rude person working fried rice is hard and old unacceptable in NYC or anywhere else. Not good food at all find other choices plenty of good Chinese restaurants around wish I never came in.

When your belly is growling and it's about that time to take a lunch break, who ya gunna call? Hint: Not this place. I ordered the Sesame chicken lunch special without turning to Yelp first, and this is the thanks I get! Bland pork fried rice and subpar sesame chicken with a glaze that was just plain unappealing. I thought the cheap prices for around $8 was a steal, and it certainly was - of my money! However, my ginger ale can was quite tasty. All in all, please stand clear of the closing doors of this place.

Delivery was late. I picked up the phone call and the delivery guy started to yell at me for no reason. I couldn't understand what he was saying. The food was hot but all the meat and vegetable looks terrible and not fresh. I order additional Steamed Dumplings to meet the minimum order amount. It is not soup dumpling as I expected. The ingredient tasted very weird and disgusting. I end up spat my food and threw the rest away.

This place is absolutely FILTHY and the soups are awful. Sometimes, I get a craving for Chinese food. It's one of my favorites and I recently gave it up for Lent, which was a huge sacrifice for me. This place is very easy to avoid because all of the food is terrible.

Their lunch specials will run you about $7 and come with either a point of soup, canned soda or bottled water. They also have a by the pound hot bar but the place is so dirty I would question the food sitting out. The meats - beef and chicken are chewy. The soups are watery and bland. It's cheap but I would up throwing most of it out.

I've give this place a fair shake a few times, tried different entrees and appetizers but every time I was disappointed without exception.
